” The point of life is to not find yourself with a well preserved corpse at the end of it. But to slide head first into the the grave with a worn out body yelling what a ride. “
That stated, I have been past the point of faith for some time now, meaning I have studied alot of different faiths or religions that are practiced today.
Christianity, Islam, Judiasm and the sub-cultures or sects, Hinuism, Zoarastorism, Budhism, Mormonism, so many of the different African faiths as well as societies that are so called secrets. All of them leave me with the same conclusion every time.
All of them are man made philosophies and or interpretations. Sure , there may very well be some great V8 moment and nugget of truth some great point of wisdom that truly can be beneficial to many. Once that truth is overstood it is then up to the individual to use in thier character. Whatever faith you follow, you are still following. Most people can not discern the difference between learning and following. But my journey was/is not lost, not totally.
Although, encompassing many years and lots of disappointment I am able to retain all my nuggets of truth from every dead end position every religion had to offer. Ask me if I believe in GOD? I’ll tell you … NO. Of course not! Ask me if this is the end for me when I die? I’ll tell you … NO. Of course not!!! Is that faith? NO of course not …
Ask me of heaven and hell? Judgement in an afterlife only serves to enable one to judge another in life, won’t it be the worst feelling ever if you get to the end of your journey, living your life depriving yourself of things you could have done, only to find out that all that obeying and praying and religion don’t mean JACK SQUAT and all the time you spent on so called earth should have been spent differently..
